An Open Letter to Isabella Beck tells the story of Gabby, a 14-year old middle schooler who dreams of becoming a professional playwright. When a school assignment encourages her to reach out to one of her heroes, she, along with her best friend, starts making YouTube videos for her idol, playwright Isabella Beck. When a prestigious playwriting competition is announced, Gabby is determined to enter, using the “advice” she believes Isabella is giving her based on the videos. There’s just one problem – the contest is for people 18 years and older. Will Gabby find a way to pursue her dream?
